Below, please take some time to write your opinion about this issue. I've posted some questions to help frame the discussion, but they do not have to be followed. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhat should the advisory classroom look like (activities, time usage, etc.)? <br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhen should it be situated within the day? <br \/>\n<br \/>\nHow does having an advisory help our students? <br \/>\n<br \/>\nAlso, please feel free to respond to other staff members posts, and ask questions.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"24843879","body":"I would like to see advisor group be a time that would focus on students' continual learning plan.  Our current CLP files could use a make-over.  Based on individual student needs, advisor time could be modified to allow students time to implement and define their learning needs and goals.  Students would record their progress in their CLPs on a weekly basis.  I feel that if CLP's could be made student friendly they could be a useful tool for self monitoring progress.  Perhaps meeting once or twice a week would be enough? My students who currently attend seem to enjoy Advisor\/SSR, however, my retention rate is 63%. I would also like to see us work on student team building. Since nobody has a study hall some students could use that time.
